Colorful Gotek

Since I have my new Amiga 500 case I was in need of a new Gotek solution. The old one was hacked into my previous case by the previous owner and of course I didn’t want to do that in my new case. I also didn’t want a Gotek as the internal drive anymore. It’s hard to read the display and i like to put in those floppies on the side once again.

I looked for different solutions and settled for a Gotek in a 3D printed case with sort of the same aesthetics as the Amiga 500 case. And chose a yellow one! It nicely contrasts with the light blue case. It’s not as brightly yellow as the Turbo Chameleon that sticks out of my Commodore 64 beside it, and looks more like a lump of cheese.

It has an oled display and rotary knob, which are an improvement over my old Gotek. It rests nicely on the acrylic case for the ACA500 plus. It runs Flash Floppy instead of the other environment I had running on the old one. I need to figure out what the differences are and how I can get it to run my games.
