I don’t have many Myst-like games. I enjoyed Myst, I have a copy, and I also have Riven and Exile, and although I’ve been meaning to, I’ve never actually played those. The only other such games I have are The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour. I only have them because I have fond memories of watching the game being run on a tiny television in the local toy shop, and they came bundled together in nice big boxes and were cheap. The only other game I ever played is Ring from 1998, but I didn’t like it very much.
So I tend to ignore those games. But now I bought Clandestiny, the third game by Trilobyte who also developed The 7th Guest and its sequel. I bought it because I watched one of Ron’s Computer Videos on YouTube where he showed that off. I looked into it, and it actually looked kind of cool. Sadly, my copy doesn’t have the cool transparent window in the front cover of the box that Ron’s has, but maybe I’ll get that sometime yet.

Just a quick follow-up: I do have more Myst-clones: https://gameroomramblings.com/2025/05/30/the-messenger-an-interesting-addition/
