It’s no Commodore 64 Ultimate, but it’s still fun to play C64 games on the DTV. It’s permanently hooked up to my Sony CRT and every once in a while I play some games on it. It powers on instantly and has a nice collection of games. One of those being Impossible Mission, a fan favorite and a game I also had back in the day.
Back then, I only had copied games and no manuals to figure out what you were supposed to do in those games. Most of the games were simple arcade games and that didn’t matter very much, but not so with Impossible Mission. I liked walking around the rooms and collecting schematics while jumping over robots and evading big black balls. I enjoyed the sinister atmosphere enhanced by the speech echoing footsteps. But I never figured out what to do. And I still haven’t. Maybe I should get a physical edition so I can figure things out. But I still enjoy it!
