Adding a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, (twentieth?) game in a series to my game collection always feels great. Especially when I’ve been looking for it for a long time.
This is the case with Goblins 3. I’ve had part 1 and 2 in my collection for a while now and part 3 was on my wish list for just as long. Copies go for 150 to 200 euro’s on Ebay and that’s more than I am willing to pay for it. Copies of Goblins Quest 3, which is essentially the same game, are useually much cheaper, but also very ugly. So when a seller from Italy had a more reasonable priced copy for sale, I didn’t hesitate and bought it. He was even willing to budge the price a little bit, which covered a large part of the shipping costs. The trade off was that the box has a few tears in it and that it’s the slightly inferior Amiga release. It’s also missing the manual, so I will have to pick that up seperately. But maybe a Jewel case version of Goblins Quest 3 will suffoce for that.
I’ve never played Goblins 3, but I have played 1 and 2. And although I’ve never finished them, I’m looking forward to playing part 3 and maybe even 1 and 2 again. Which will prime me for the upcoming 5th game in the series.
