I bought a couple of old issues of Amiga Format recently and browsed through them last weekend. The front covers of the magazines were what initially drew my attention and took me back to the early 90s, but reading some of the game reviews took me back even further. Especially the coverdisk of one of the issues, the one with the Mondriaan cover (issue 17, dec 1990), triggered feelings of nostalgia. I remember messing about with the animations tutorial on the disk in Deluxe Paint. Also present on the disk was a demo of The Ultimate Ride. And while maybe not the best racing game for the Amiga, I remember liking it way more than Personal Finance Manager…
