Steam Spring Sale: Dexter Stardust

I’ve been playing Lost in Time with my kids. And since that game is not available on the PlayStation, we’re playing it on Steam. It’s a bit of a hassle to hook up my laptop to the tv downstairs every time and so I hooked up a mini Dell OptiPlex 3050. At first I tried installing SteamOS on it, but that didn’t work. I couldn’t get the installer to boot up from a usb stick. Turned out, that I didn’t pay enough attention when the link to the SteamOS installation actually linked to the SteamDeck installation files. Some Googling later I learned that Valve has removed the SteamOS installation and didn’t bother to redirect the links on their own website. Nasty! Next up, I tried a SteamOS alternative, but that kept on getting stuck, so ultimately I just resorted to Windows. Bought a cheap wireless mini keyboard with touchpad, and we’re good to go. Great timing also, because Steam Spring Sale is happening.

I bought a couple of games like Lair of the Clockwork God, Lamplight City, A Golden Wake and Dexter Stardust. And I’m looking to buy the The Blackwell Legacy and the other Blackwell games as well.

I didn’t know which one to start first, so I chose Dexter. I don’t know why. I’m an hour in and enjoying it. The beginning is a little too easy and I hope that it will become slightly more difficult, but I thought I read somewhere that that’s the case. Next time I talk about it, I’ll probably be stuck somewhere.
