Goodbye Joey

Finished Beyond a Steel Sky today and I don’t really know how I feel about it. The last part of the game was more cutscene than gameplay, more so than the first part of the game. The last puzzles were not very good. The hotspots you need to interact with were sometimes too hard to find. A sort of weird pixel hunt in 3D. The story was good, but not surprising. And the dialog and animations seemed to get worse while the game neared the ending.

A certain part of Beneath a Steel Sky was referenced and I just wish the that developers had made Joey show Foster (and us) a projection of that part of the first game. That would have been so cool!

Now I’ve said goodbye to Foster and Joey and I don’t think I’ll see any new adventures of them. And that’s fine.
