I finished Briley Witch Chronicles after about 15 hours. Gameplay that ultimately was more linear than in most rpg’s. You just follow the story as it unfolds with very little in choice of how and what you want to accomplish. It is a little like playing the books the game is based on (I imagine because I’ve never read them.) For the most part, I enjoyed the game. The characters are likable, or not, the visuals are great, the music also and the story is ok. I don’t care for the combat, but that’s largely just me. I generally don’t like jrpgs and this one is no exception. I switched to easy mode early on fully realizing that doing so would take something out of the experience. I just don’t like fighting each fight with samey enemies like it’s your last fight.
