Guybrush got framed

For a while now, I get to look at this beautiful painted scene from intro of The Curse of Monkey Island. After I got the magnificent poster from Point Clicking with all the characters from the classic LucasArts adventure games, I got a discount voucher for a future purchase that I didn’t want to go to waste. What better can you do than spend it on Guybrush?

I have fond memories of The Curse of Monkey Island. I remember that it took me quite a while to get hold of an original copy of the game. It already was some time after the game was first released and it wasn’t available anymore in nearby electronics and toy stores (I didn’t have any dedicated gamestores in the neighborhood). I vividly remember that, when I finally got a copy and booted it up for the first time, I was totally mesmerized by the graphics and the music of the intro and the humor and fun of the gameplay. At that moment I certainly thought it was the best Monkey Island up to that point. My opinion about that has changed somewhat, but I still find it hard to decide which Monkey Island game is the best.

I was so into the game that I even changed my Twelve Monkeys desktop theme for Windows 95 for a CoMI theme.
