Went away for the weekend and took the Evercade along. I played Xeno Crises and Earthworm Jim 2.

I enjoyed them both. More than I thought I would. Especially Earthworm Jim 2. The game has some really interesting mechanics. Like shooting walls that crumble and leave dust to stand on.

Both games also lack a way for a casual gamer like me in this instance to play through the whole game. After my lives are up, there’s no way to get any further in the game. The only way is to play the first parts over and over again to get better. And I’m not going to do that. So while I enjoyed them I’m sad I won’t be seeing the later parts of the games.
