Two new games this time: Defender of the Crown and Fahrenheit 451.
I remember going to a friend’s house back in primary school and seeing his dad playing Defender of the Crown on the Commodore 64. I think that I had my own Commodore 64 by then, but I’m not sure. If not, then this would be the first C64 game that I have ever seen being played. But I don’t think this is the case. I think I already had a C64 of my own (my parents didn’t have any computer until ten years ago or something.) I do know that I was very impressed by the graphics and sound. I also remember my friend asking if we could play a little Buggy Boy, which we did. That also was a much nicer game to look at than most of the games I had. I only had the early games, like Defender, Centipede, Choplifter, etc.
I also got a copy of Fahrenheit 451. I don’t know why. Maybe because I read the book? I’m reading a lot about the early text adventures. So maybe that’s why I picked it up. The packaging is very disappointing. I’m probably missing the manual or something.
