Still very entertaining, especially if you’ve played the original back in the days *
Finished the game after at approximately 30 hours. I didn’t get all the heartpieces , but quite a few. Also didn’t spent any time fishing, which is a crime. I did get almost all the skultulla’s.
Overal I had a blast playing though this version. The last time I completed it was on the N64 back in the nineties. After that, I played a bit on occasion. But apperently never very far, because I totally forgot the desert part, and didn’t remember the final battle at all.
I found the game much easier to play because of the highter framerate and tighter control. The graphic update was very nice too. The only thing I didn’t like was the control scheme for playing the ocarina. I feel that that could have been better handled. At the beginning I missed the beautiful font of the original. But the new font is probably better for readability. And the benefit is that it is displayed and dismissed quicker.
Now onto Majora’s Mask 3D. I only played halfway though that one on Virtual Console, so new content for me there. Jippy! But first A Link Between Worlds… I’m exited for that one, because over the years I tried to get into A link Between the Past, but I couldn’t get into it for some reason. I already played a fait bit of ALBW, and found it very nice.
I won’t be doing the Master Quest any time soon.
