After doing the main quest of The Shivering Isles, Albertus the mage has retired from adventuring. He didn’t feel like helping (or killing) more residents of The Realm of Madness and couldn’t wait to get out of there and go back to Cyrodill. Once there, he realized there was nothing there he wanted to do and because stopping Mehrunes Dagon was out of the question he simply stopped. Another 60 hours spend with Oblivion was enough for now. Although… I am tempted to start over with a fighter to experience the thrill of obtaining all those new and exciting weapons and pieces of armor. But no, other games await.
