I only just recently got my hands on some games that came in so-called flat boxes. While browsing Ebay I came across another such a package containing a collection of truly old games, such as Adventure and Eliza. It also featured in one of LGRs video’s about these kind of packaging. I read about Eliza in one of the Digital Antiquarian’s excellent posts and it’s nice to have a copy in my collection, even if it’s not a stand alone version and only in a collection, and even if it might contain somewhat dumbed down versions of the games.
Probably the main attraction of the package is that it contains a booklet that might be more fun to read than playing the actual games is.
Now I can say I have a copy of Pong in my collection. I guess that’s a must for every retro game collector that takes his hobby seriously.
