Every once in a while I buy a Compact Disc for myself. This time it’s another one from Mark Knopfler: Sailing to Philadelphia. Just as with games, having a nice physical package in your hands just adds so much to the experience. And this CD definitely looks the part.

Up until just a couple of years ago I wasn’t into listening to anything from Mark Knopfler from after his Dire Straits days. It wasn’t a conscious denial or anything. The music from Dire Straits is some of my favorite music. I just didn’t listen to any of his songs. And since they were not being played on the radio, I wasn’t exposed to any of his later work. It was probably some YouTube algorythm that made me listen to it. And I’m grateful it did.
