When I bought The Queen’s Footsteps I played it for 10 minutes. The box has been sitting prominently next to my Amiga, enticing me to continue. I now I have. I must say I don’t particularly care for the way the text is displayed in a default AmigaDOS window. A blank would be more attractive. The whole packaging really adds a lot of atmosphere to the experience. When I continue, I definitely need to look for some appropriate music. Now what would that be?
I didn’t write the music for The Queen’s Footsteps (yet), but I wrote an original soundtrack for SIlk Dust. I think it can be listened to while playing to The Queen’s Footsteps, too: https://darwinne.itch.io/silk-dust-original-soundtrack
Hi Davide, thanks for commenting! And yes, your music for Silk Dust is very appropriate. Especially since you added some tracks since I first played the game. And I hope you’ll write some music for The Queen’s Footsteps as well. Gives me a good excuse to replay the game 🙂
Thank you! I’m glad you appreciated! I could consider writing some music for TQF, indeed. I’m currently spending most of my spare time writing music those days. After the Silk Dust soundtrack, I explored slightly more electronic soundscapes (New Star) and I am now making experiments in minimalistic music (Réminescence). Here are some YT videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_FYJ9-caZA&list=PLIcLZrZP4Ce8-ouLONnM0YFwQqlIMZww7 Here is a place where you can listen to my music on the Fediverse: https://bandwagon.fm/@DarwinNE It would surely be nice to come to a more orchestral style with TQF.
Excellent stuff! Very dramatic. I’m hypnotized by the music/video combination 👏😁
