The new firmware 2.0 for the Evercade handheld makes choosing a game much more enjoyable. The menu shows beautiful box art and information about the controls of the games. The titles of the games are displayed in a larger font, which is good news for my aging eyes on a platform that sometimes is too challenging for older eyes that probably most of the target audience of the device posses.

I especially like the added information about the games and the ability to turn on scanlines. An added feature that I would like to see is browsing through the games whilst into the details page of a game with the shoulder buttons.

The new firmware gives a nice boost to my interest in playing on the handheld.
