The following games have been added to my collection:
- King’s Quest II: Romancing the Throne
- King’s Quest III: To Heir is Human
- King’s Quest VII: The Princeless Bride
- Oil’s Well
- Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon
- Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers
- Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist
- Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven
It all started with an ad for Freddy Pharkas, a game that doesn’t come around very often. When I inquired about it, the seller told me he had more on offer. A lot of Sierra games, including Oil’s Well. A game I recently got for the Commodore 64. So I decided to fill out my King’s Quest collection. It’s almost complete now. The only one I don’t have yet is part IV (and 8, but I don’t know if I need that one).
I also decided to start collecting the Space Quest collection and got a head start with III and IV.
And while I was at it, I also got Might and Magic VI. I only had that one in the Millennium edition, but having a separate box is much nicer, albeit this one is a bit faded. I think I’ll hang on to the Millennium edition, because that also contains Might and Magic V: Clouds of Xeen. And the Might and Magic V games in the Millennium edition come on CD and I’m not sure that the separate editions also come on CD. I used to have the limited or the special edition of Might and Magic VI (I don’t remember which), which was cool. But the box was unwieldy (just like the XXL M&M IV and V I got recently) and I remember that it was slightly damaged and very flimsy.
