Seconds

I’ve bought two games of which I didn’t know that I wanted them. Both are the second part of a series: Dungeon Keeper 2 and GTA 2.

I recently got into the original Dungeon Keeper again. And although I’ve never played part 2 before, I couldn’t resist getting my hands on Dungeon Keeper 2.

The other game, GTA 2, I did play back in the days. Although not as much as the original GTA. So when this game was offered, along with Dungeon Keeper 2, I also couldn’t resist. Now it would be nice to get my hands on part 1 also.

I notice that my collection focus is slightly widening. Whereas I was first focusing on only getting games that I’ve played back in the days and/or have nice extras in the box (mainly classic point-and-click adventure games and RPG’s), I now am getting more and more games that I either haven’t played before (i.e. Dungeon Keeper 2) or don’t have much interesting to offer by owning the boxed version over the digital version (i.e. GTA 2). In case of GTA 2, or X-Wing, or the later adventure games like Gabriel Knight 2 or 3, I’m talking this right by myself by broadening my collection focus to include open world games, RTS games and adventures and RPG’s up until the early 2000s.

Oh, and of course the criterium played it back in the days still stands ;-). See my recent acquisition of a Epic Pinball game and Oil’s Well for the C64. Lastly there are the new games for old systems, like Black Dawn Rebirth for the Amiga and the upcoming Hibernated part 2.
