Stuff I regret selling – Part 1: Adventure games

Now I’m reading The Art of Point-and-Click Adventure Games, I want to (re)play all those great games. I have a lot of the ones that are mentioned in the book (see above), but sadly I’ve also sold quite a few. A couple of years ago I needed the space (and I could use the money as well. Luckily I still have pictures of some of the ones I sold…

I thought it would be a good idea to list all the games that I have had at some point in time. I will make a series of posts out of it starting with adventure games.

  • Beneath a Steel Sky: Big Box CD32 version complete with the comic.
  • The Big Box Amiga versions of The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island II: LeChuck’s Revenge. I decided to sell this because I also had, and still have, the boxed version of Monkey Island 1 & 2 White Label Doubles with a CD inside.
  • Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within and Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Damned.
  • Discworld Noir, although I don’t think that I had the boxed version, only the double CD case.
  • Grim Fandango. I have a copy in the LucasArts Entertainment Pack. And now there is of course the Remastered version that I got a digital copy of for free.
  • Prisoner of Ice. I’ve never played this one actually.
  • The Legend of Kyrandia. I thought this one was way too difficult to complete.
Grim Fandango. I very much regret selling this one
Although I still have the CD versions for PC of part 1 and 2, I very much regret selling The Secret of Monkey Island.
and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge (although the Amiga version is inferior).
And of course some games that I don’t regret selling quite as much, like Prisoners of Ice
…and The Legend of Kyrandia
