I’ve got a new, well not exactly new, laptop and of course there has to be a copy of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind on it. I played around a bit, and then on an impulse I decided to try The Elder Scrolls Online. So I bought a digital copy for the PlayStation 4 along with Yooka-Laylee for the kids (right). I’m now a couple of hours in and I must say I’m really enjoying seeing the sights in Morrowind. I’m a bit overwhelmed with all the things that a MMO throws at you, and I don’t know if this will be something I want to invest a lot of time in, but it feels nice to be able to look around in Tamriel.
The quests are supposed to be nice so I’ll do some of those. What struck me as odd, was that within a couple of minutes I was talking to Vivec as if I were his closest confident. From rags to riches in an instant! Well, not riches exactly, as I’m still wearing a slavers outfit, but you know what I mean. I would think that you only would be able to see him after you had done a lot of stuff to prove your worth.
The last time, and also the first time, that I played an mmo was World of Warcraft back when it was still quite new. I got completely wrapped up in it for a while. Managed to reach level 45 before I quit. We’ll see where this goes.
