Amber: Journeys Beyond is a game from 1996, the era where big box pc games were largely empty and Amber is no exception. There’s only the jewel case with the little square manual that fits inside that.
The manual is nice though. Not only does it provide instructions to the game, it also has a back story to set the mood and even a little message from the developers detailing what inspired them. It almost makes it feel like an indie game.
I don’t know anything about the game other than it was received quite well by some reviewers at the time. The screenshots look nice. I got it mainly because I don’t have many games in my collection with a horror theme.
