Oblivion Remastered sure does look beautiful at times. Seeing the Imperial City through the trees remains exciting. Just wandering around and listening to the sublime music makes me feel at ease. Almost everything looks so much better and the gameplay enhancements are mostly an improvement. The interface remains a bit cumbersome however and the weird faces almost stick out more than in the original version.
I’m hoping to spend a lot more time with this version of the game in the coming weeks. And once I’m done, I’m going back to the original for a bit and I’ll play a little Skyrim to see how that feels then. Hopefully that won’t turn into yet another complete run!
I’m currently playing as a mage with conjuration and destruction. I don’t need restoration and alchemy yet and I’m planning to do some enchantment once I’m able to.
I’m curious to see how long I can hold onto this play style. As is usual with these kind of class based rpgs, I’m constantly trying to deny the urge to switch to another class entirely.
I really should give the dark brotherhood a serious try, because I’ve never done that and that’s supposed to be good. I’m just not good at enjoying playing an evil character…
