It turns out that Simon often gives helpful remarks, but could do so more often. When examining the machine Simon said that it could combine animals or the other way around. The machine itself is also helpful in this regard, because it has a lever that can be set to either left or right. And Simon has done a lot more:
- He got electric eels. The inventor told him to come back later.
- Simon managed to grab the jokebook and give it to the jester. That got him a blader, which he gave to Um Bongo.
- Um Bongo made it rain which flushed away the spider.
- Simon got mud which he gave to the Swampling Boss, who gave him swamp stew.
- The stew stank, so Simon gave it to the joke shop owner in exchange for a stink bomb.
- Simon used the stink bomb in the tent, which eventually won him the competition and an ID.
- After entering the castle he met the prince, who wants a sword. Simon already knows where one is. Maybe if he’ll give the prince a sword, he gets a pea, because there’s a princess inside the castle on many mattresses.
- From inside the castle Simon got a cog. He used the cog on the clock in the kitchen of MucSwamplings. The tattooist is gone now (without an animation.)
- Simon went fishing.
- Simon got a leaflet from the tattooist, which he gave to the geek.
- He didn’t know why he gave the leaflet to the geek, but after some time wandering around, he returned to the tattooist and he now is the 1.000th customer. Maybe it was hinted earlier that he was number 999. I don’t know.
- Simon asked the king and he told me to ask the princess about the baby. So she’s first, and then the baby. That means the first order of business is the sword.
- There’s a Lady of the Lake who’s waiting for her shift to be over. Simon talked to everyone, but nobody wants to take over. At some point he gave the seal to the Lady, which convinced her that he has the right credentials to take over from her. That bit was a bit unclear to me. Too bad, the game wouldn’t let Simon talk to her more than once. Maybe he would have picked up earlier what to do.
- Simon managed to get the sword. Give it to the prince. Wake the princess to get a lolly. The baby didn’t want it, but the Swampling kids did. Their milk put the baby to sleep.
- Now he could go to the treasury. But demons blocked his way. They’re stuck, but so am I…
