I’ve never noticed this before, but some adverts for Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge used the cover art of The Secret of Monkey Island. I guess they sort of kept the dangling number 2. The things you notice while browsing old Amiga Power issues.
I just booted up TSoMI and MI2 on the MiSTer to listen to the intro music through the MT-32. Wonderful!
