I’m filling in the gaps in my PS4 collection. Next up is Neverwinter Nights. I’ve played Baldur’s Gate II on PS4 in 2021 and 2022 and part I before that. I’m currently playing Planescape: Torment on and off. To make the set complete, I also got a copy of Neverwinter Nights for the PS4. I like to get physical and turn to the physical manual and maps of the original releases when I play these remakes. That is going to be no problem for Neverwinter Nights with the gigantic Collector’s Edition on hand.
I wonder if I will like this remake though. Or even if I’m going to like trying to play the game nowadays. Although I never got very far into the game back in the day, I remember it being quite clunky with the controls of this early 3D attempt and wonder if that is more streamlined now. When I walk around in the starting area, I can already see that I’ll be having problems reading the tiny text or the bigger text due to horrible contrast. Such a shame. They could have easily facilitated more flexibility with the ways that things are being displayed. When I decide to replay this game, I’ll have to have a good look at how I want to play this. I’m guessing that playability is already greatly enhanced with all sorts of mods for the original version, or maybe even for the Enhanced version for PC.
