I’m filling some gaps in my PS4 collection. Most recent addition is Wasteland 2. Although I already have a collector’s edition for PC. I figured that if I am going to play the game, it would probably be on the PlayStation. It was cheap enough, but I paid less for Wasteland 3. I mainly picked it up because I was in a genuine game store in The Hague where I almost never go to and I wanted to have a memory of my being there.
When I got home I looked at my shelf of Fallout and Wasteland games and immediately wondered why the game covers of the PS4 versions of Wasteland look so bland? The original game art looks stunning and quite distinguished. I guess the original art is difficult to convey on a much smaller surface with a rectangular shape. Or it could be that marketeers think that PS4 covers need some dude on the front, like most of the PS4 games do. I dunno. I like the original art better.
