I loved the first Gabriel Knight game (Sins of the Father) and although I have the second and third games in the series (The Beast Within and Blood of the Damned), I have never played them. They are on my backlog like so many other games in my collection. I especially like it if there are little additions included in all those game boxes. That’s one of the main reasons I collect them. And although the Gabriel Knight games have some nice additions, like little comic books, there’s always room for more (although that’s a bit of an overstatement, because actual physical space is becoming somewhat rare in my gameroom.)
More goodies is the reason I couldn’t say no to the addition of the Gabriel Knight Mysteries Limited Edition that comes in a box that’s double (luckily not triple) the size of a single game. At least not for the measly sum of five euros that is :). The additional goodies are: a novel of Sins of the Father, a hint book for The Beast Within and the soundtrack with mostly tracks of The Beast Within and a few tracks of Sins of the Father and Blood of the Damned thrown in.
When I finally get around to playing The Beast Within and Blood of the Damned I think I will first read the novel of the first game to get me in the mood. Excellent addition!
