I don’t have a lot of different versions of the same game (not counting different computer and console versions.) When I look around the gameroom I see the following:
- Planetfall: Greybox and Folio release
- The Witcher: Enhanced and Collector’s Edition
- Oblivion: Standard and Collector’s Edition
- Dungeon Master: Standard big box and bigger squared big box
And then there are a few games I have separate versions of as well as in a collection, like Ultima I-III and III, and Ultima VII, VII-2 and The Complete Ultima VII, and Sierra games and their collections, and Might and Magic games and a collection.
Since last week another game can be added to this list with the arrival of the Chaotic Evil edition of Neverwinter Nights 2 to accompany the Lawful Good edition. There are some differences between the two. There’s a Mountain Troll statue instead of an Eldritch Giant statue, a Chaotic Evil ring instead of a Lawful Good ring (which is missing from my box), and a different art book.
The seller also included two expansion packs: Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir, which I didn’t have yet. For now, the Chaotic Evil Edition nicely fills the gap on the shelf beside the Lawful Good edition to cover the Collector’s Edition of the first Neverwinter Nights game. Nice!
