A few weeks ago already, I got a few games for the C64 from Psytronik. First of all there’s Lykia – The Lost Island. It comes with a lovely manual. The game however wouldn’t load from disk. It turns out that the game will only load if there’s only one drive connected. This means that turning off the virtual floppy drive in the Turbo Chameleon made the game work. This is probably described in the lovely manual. I have yet to figure out if saving works with virtual floppies and/or a cart file. I’ve read online that saving works with fixed save points, and I haven’t encountered one yet. So, fingers crossed.
The other games are Grid Pix and Vegetables Deluxe. Both are games that I’ve played before and I liked so much that I wanted to have physical copies. Buying Lykia was the perfect excuse to order them.
The final game I got was Argus. A game I decided not to get into based on a review in Zzap64! But I figured that as long as I was ordering, it would be nice to try it out and have the nice premium disk version. I played it a little bit and I don’t know if I like it, but I’ll give it another try.
